इस Tutorial में हम C Constants के बारे में पढ़ेंगे और सीखेंगे कैसे आप c language में const keyword और #define preprocessor की help से constants define और use कर सकते हो.

जब हम real life में एक बड़े project पर काम करते हैं तब हमें अपने program में कुछ ऐसे variables की भी जरुरत होती है जिनकी value हम fix रखना चाहते हैं.

अब क्योंकि project बड़ा होता होता तो लगातार कई hours coding करते रहने की वजह से हम कभी-कभी भूल जाते हैं और उन variables की value change कर देते हैं.

जिसकी वजह से हमारे project की work approach गड़बड़ हो जाती है और इस तरह की problem से बचने के लिए या मैं कहूँ fix values assign करने के लिए variables की जगह constants का use करते हैं.

Constants in C in Hindi – C Constants क्या है?

Computer memory में data store करने से पहले हम memory locations को names (identifiers) assign करते हैं और इन्हीं names को हम variable या constants कहते हैं.

Variables और Constants दोनों के declaration करने का तरीका (syntax) अलग-अलग होता है और declaration syntax से ही पता चलता है की memory में variable create होगा या constant.

Variables और Constants का work तो same है यानी memory में data store करना लेकिन इनमें एक फर्क होता है और वो फर्क आप इन दोनों के हिंदी meaning से ही समझ जाएंगे.

Variable का हिंदी में मतलब होता है परिवर्तनशील (अस्थायी) यानी जो कभी भी बदल सकता है और Constant का हिंदी में मतलब होता है स्थिर यानी जो कभी नहीं बदल सकता.  

अगर C programming के point of view से समझे तो variables की value program में कभी भी और कहीं भी change हो सकती है लेकिन constants की value कभी change नहीं होती है. 

अगर आप गलती से किसी भी constants की value अपने program में change करते हो तो आपको compile time पर ही error मिल जाता है जिससे की आप उसे compile time पर ही ठीक कर लें और run time पर आपका program बिना किसी problem के चल सके.

How to Define and Use Constants in the C Language in Hindi

C Language में आप mainly दो तरह से constants define कर सकते हैं. हम दोनों types के constants के बारे में एक-एक करके बात करेंगे और दोनों को example के साथ समझेंगे.

  • Using const keyword
  • Using #define preprocessor

Define constants using const keyword in C

const keyword की help से c programming में cosntants declare करना लगभग variable declaration की तरह ही same होता है.

जो फर्क है वो ये की आपको data type से पहले const keyword का use करना होता है और constant declaration के time पर आपको constant को value initialize करनी होती है.

Constants define करने के दोनों तरीकों में से const keyword की help से constants define करना ज्यादा अच्छा तरीका माना जाता है.

क्योंकि const keyword की help से आप local या gloabal कहीं भी constants define कर सकते हैं यानी की आप constants का scope control कर सकते हो.

const keyword syntax:

const data_type constant_NAME = value;

const keyword example:

    const int SIZE = 125;

    printf("Value of SIZE Constant : %d",SIZE);

Define constants using #define preprocessor in C

C programming में आप #define preprocessor की help से भी cosntants declare कर सकते हैं और इसमें भी #include statment की तरह लास्ट में semicolon (;) नहीं लगता है.

जब आप इस तरीके से constants declare करते हैं तब उन constants को memory में जगह नहीं मिलती क्योंकि preprocessor directive होने की वजह से program compile time से पहले ही IDE जहाँ-जहाँ आपने constant लिख रखा उन जगह पर constant की value रख देता है.

#define constant_NAME value

#define Constants Declaration Example:
